As Fellow for Science in Innovation, he did work on ecological and economic diversity at the Natural History Museum, London. Previously he was research fellow at Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, and project director at the Institute for Consumer Economics of the University of Hohenheim.Dr. J. Daniel Dahm (Germany) is a scientist, entrepreneur and activist with a focus on sustainable development. His work is systematically focused on sustainability and its scientific, economic and cultural dimensions. He is specialised on the interrelations between biogeosphere and anthroposphere particularly on renewable energy systems and sustainable infrastructures.

Amongst others Daniel Dahm is Executive Director of Ethical-Ecological Rating at Goethe-University, Frankfurt a. M., Member of the Advisory Board of Federation of German Scientists and Member of the German Association of The Club of Rome. Furthermore he is Co-founder of the Desertec Foundation, Curator of the Utopia Foundation and Fellow of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. He is founder and Executive Director of United Sustainability GmbH, a sustainable investment fund company and with DDC Daniel Dahm Consult GmbH he provides consultancy services for companies and organisations. In the exhibition sector he functions as Chairman of the Ecostyle Trade Fair at Messe Frankfurt and as Chair of the Jury at Internorga Trade Fair at Messe und Congress Hamburg.
