Marco Stephan is an entrepreneur and lawyer. He worked for White & Case and Mayer Brown and other international law firms in the areas of Corporate Law and M&A, advising corporations and executive and supervisory boards.
With his company Arineos Mr. Stephan is active in the real estate market, renovating commercial buildings in an energy efficient way in order to create win-win situations and reduce both, energy costs and CO2-emmissions.
Mr. Stephan worked at the European Parliament in the committees of Economic and Monetary Affairs and Employment and Social Affairs. As president and board member within the Organization “European Movement” he engaged on a European scale for a constitution for the European Union, as well as a stronger democratic legitimation of European Politics. In 2011 Mr. Stephan assisted the chair of the UNEP comission regarding the implementation of a legally binding rule on Mercury.
Mr. Stephan studied Law in Frankfurt and worked at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability in the House of Finance.
